Teddy ist Metal-Fan, arbeitet als Aushilfe in einem Massagestudio und leidet ansonsten wie alle anderen unter der Fadesse seines Heimatkaffs in La France Profonde. Doch nachdem er eines Nachts im Wald von etwas angefallen wird, beginnt der junge Mann sich zu verändern. Das Langfilmdebüt des Regie-Brüderpaars Ludovic und Zoran Boukherma ist ein charaktervoller, launiger Zusammenzug eines Coming-of-(R)Age-Films mit Werwolf-Motiven, eingenestelt in eine schrullige, liebevolle Satire auf das Provinzleben, belebt von punktuell aufplatzenden, dafür umso grelleren (und geileren) Gore-Momenten.
Ludovic Boukherma, Zoran Boukherma
Boukherma, Ludovic & Zoran are twin brothers and grew up in rural France. Escaping to Paris, they studied at La Cité du Cinéma and L'École de la Cité, both founded by Luc Besson. Teddy, their second feature film, was shown in the Official Selection of the 2020 Cannes Film Festival. They previously explored the werewolf theme in their short The Birth of a Monster, which also starred Christine Gauthier. Noémie Lvovski and Anthony Bajon, meanwhile, were in the cast of their feature debut Willy the First.
