Joséphine Darcy Hopkins is a Franco-British director and screenwriter member of the collective “Les Films de la Mouche”. She directed numerous award-winning short films and recently co-wrote Fabrice du Welz’s new feature film Inexorable. She is currently in the process of financing a new short film as well as finishing the script of her first feature film. Putting a spotlight on three of her short films–coming-of-age body horror Margaux (co-directed by Rémy Barbe and Joseph Bouquin as “Les Films de la Mouche“; Jury’s Prize at Paris International Fantastic Film Festival), sensitive creature feature The Day My Mother Became a Monster (Méliès d’Argent at the Razor Reel Film Festival), and Cloud, a fantastical road trip that confronts the specter of death (Audience Award at the L’Étrange Festival of Paris)–this program showcases Joséphine Darcy Hopkins’ unique style and clear vision as a writer and director.
