An American nuclear family barricades itself in their bathroom during a mighty thunderstorm. Soon the interpersonal dynamics, the lies, the dark secrets between mom, dad, and kids prove to be far more destructive than the forces of nature raging outside. And daughter Melissa comes to suspect that her girlfriend and she may have started the apocalypse. The horror thriller We Need to Do Something grimly deconstructs a family whose state-of-emergency story arc creates a particularly uncanny echo in the second year of the coronavirus pandemic. So intense!
