Shock Wave 2

Shock Wave 2 | Herman Yau | HK/CN 2020 | 120 Min | DCP

First things first: You don’t have to have seen Shock Wave to understand its incredibly entertaining sequel. Lead Andy Lau was in the first one, but here he plays a different part: After a botched bomb disposal attempt, policeman Poon loses his legs and quits the job. Three years later he becomes the suspect in a series of bombings. Legendary director Herman Yau helms this electrifying, inventive action thriller that sees half of Hong Kong reduced to rubble—a true blockbuster!
